Yup! Again...this time I got the time too. It is almost 4 o'clock and still 101 degrees. I can't believe this heat. I can't even put it into words. It feels like the sum is literally right down the street and moving closer. I am not sure if everyone feels like I do, but I think this might be one of the hottest summers in a long time.
Today was our very first day back. We had a faculty meeting at 8am with eggs, bacon, sausage and grits. Too bad I was burnt toast and absolutely too beat to enjoy any of it. The meeting lasted two hours, but it was really comforting seeing everyone's familiar faces. It really does feel like a family coming back together again.I moved all my curriculum materials, meaning I traveled about six times between my room and the CRT office with heavy wagon loads of books.Great day to fee like poop... well, better get back to work! This classroom won't finish itself.
