Day 25: Sunday Sunday

Sunday Sunday. Today, I woke up and 'netted', which has become quite the ritual. I like to check up on causes, and on news around the world. I guess I have my routine morning newspaper with my coffee, except replace newspaper with the computer, and coffee with a glass of juice. No one gets newspapers anymore. I tried to do a project this year with my kids where they would bring in a newspaper, but less then half my kids actually got the paper. The internet is much more convenient, and quick. The news articles are accompanied with videos and you can search for news you want to hear about. Waste paper is what newspapers do, although I agree that something tangible to read and hold is sometimes better and that it is sadly dying away. Books are kept in kindles, and mail is sent through email. Social media replaced birthday cards and the internet replaced anything else you would need. I avoid checking my mailbox because I only get bills, and coupons, and more wasted paper.
My shirt is significant today because it explains how I'm feeling. I'm ready for Canada and cannot wait to fly North. It has been a long time since I've seen the beautiful Canadian peeks or smelt the fresh Canada air. I still hope the four of us will make it together this year, but that is still an uncertainty. Either way, family and fun will be the theme this year and we'll make sure that is exactly what we have.

Highlight: Day off with Tony
low-light: Nothing :)
